Novella Royale is a fresh face among the designer handbag crowd. The birth of the brand came to light when the designers over at Novella Royale became inspired by the simplistic concept of designing luxury handbags without creating waste from new materials. Reduce, Recycle, and Reuse. An idea that we all wish more designers would take advantage of. So with that as their core model, they went about creating the most amazing one-of-a-kind pieces. The leather from each of their bags is hand selected and hand cut from vintage jackets! How many designers out there do that? Not only are the bags exterior shell made of 100% recycled leather, but each bag as well is lined with organic fabric.

The little studded piece we have pictured here is the “Clover”. Currently available in four, perfect for Fall – Autumn shades of Olive, Copper, Grey, and Brown. Measurements are about 13” length, 13″ height. Very spacious, no doubt about that. And the thick strap allows you to stuff up your bag with as much as your heart desires, without causing strain to your shoulder. The strap drop on this purse is about 34″, which is the perfect length to either wear resting on one shoulder, or slinged across as a crossbody messenger. And if you find the strap to be a little long, don’t be afraid to tie the strap into a little knot at the top. That would take inches off instantly.

Being the handbag lover that I am, I’m always on the lookout for new and beautiful handbag designs. But when I came across this new company called Laudi Vidni, I found myself completely overwhelmed with awe. Here we have a company that allows you, the handbag enthusiast, to design your very own handbag. And here we have a company that saw an opportunity to do what other designer labels were not — empowering women. With a Laudi Vidni handbag, the whole idea of logos being a symbol of status has been completely thrown out the window. What you end up with is a luxurious handbag that defines you and only YOU.

Laudi Vidni, which is simply “individual” spelled backwards, is the brainchild of Grace Tsao-Wu and Laura Kofoid. These Harvard Business School graduates were brought together through their mutual love of fashion. Their business venture began when another entrepreneur sold his idea for a customized-leather handbag business to them for $1. The two women immediately fell in love with the spirit behind the idea. And with a lot of hard work and a little TLC, Laudi Vidni was born!

Now it seems as though I have fallen in love with the spirit behind the idea as well. I took the website for a test drive and, I must say, it is awesome! I have seen other design-your-own handbag websites before, but this one is by far the best. I love how you can choose different leathers for different parts of the bag. And with so many gorgeous leathers to choose from, the possibilities seem endless. But what I love most about Laudi Vidni, is how easy it is to use their website. In fact, it’s as easy as 1,2,3!

1. Select your style!
There are currently 8 different styles to choose from. Their starting prices range from $85 (for the Poco Wristlet) to $495 (for the Cambiare Vertical Shopper). I really like how the key features of each bag are bulleted on the left-hand side of the screen.

2. Pick your leather(s), lining, and harware!
There are 40 different leathers to choose from, including a variety of premium leathers which can add to the final price of the handbag. You can take a closer look at each leather simply by clicking on the “view details” buttons that look like tiny magnifying glasses. I love how you can simply click on the part of the bag you wish to select a leather for. The design process is so easy and straight-forward!

3. Try it on!
By clicking on the “preview” button on the left side of the screen, you can take a closer look at your design. You can also try the handbag on using a model that comes in three different heights. This feature really helps with the decision process because you can get a better idea of what the handbag would look like on.

So there you have it! Now all there is left to do is design a handbag that is uniquely yours! In fact, that is exactly what I am going to do right now! I must admit, I really love that Pavan style for myself. It is unlike anything else I own and I absolutely adore the ruching at the top. This bag looks like it could easily transition between day and night, perfect for what I’m wanting it for.

Now if only I could decide between the Washed Metallic Leather (left) or the Storm Premium Leather (right).

I’m absolutely in love with the Louis Vuitton Monogram “Eclipse” handbag line. I think they are stunning, and definitely put more edge into the Monogram line. The Monogram line is beautiful, but it can get a tad bit boring sometimes.

I hate small bags, but the Louis Vuitton “Monogram Eclipse Mini Pochette” caught my eye. Perhaps it was because it was the most affordable bag out of the whole line, but it was one the cute side. I’m not sure what you could possibly fit in it, but it looked like a bag that a toddler would carry around.

The most you could probably fit into this bag is a phone, lip gloss, and some cash if that. Small or not, it’s definitely an adorable bag to carry around on one of those evenings when you don’t want to carry much of anything. It’s one of those little bags, that is so tiny but yet still looks amazing. I also love how the hotel room key inspired zipper is more than half the height of the bag. That just shows how small this bag really is.

The Louis Vuitton “Monogram Eclipse Mini Pochette” can be purchased at Louis Vuitton for $945. The bag maybe cute, but it’s not worth that much. If I’m paying that much for a bag I would like to be able to carry quite a bit in it. Then again, this is one of Louis Vuitton’s seasonal handbag lines therefore it won’t be around for long. When you know a certain bag won’t be around forever, perhaps it makes the price looks less bad. Overall, it’s a gorgeous little bag!

There are quite a few Rebecca Minkoff lovers over at TBF. In fact, this designer has become so popular that there is now an entire forum section dedicated her handbags. Now from what I understand, a Rebecca Minkoff lover usually has her one favorite style. It is the one that she owns in every color imaginable and the one she prefers for everyday use. But a Rebecca Minkoff lover never hesitates to drool over the latest style for the season and she doesn’t mind adding one to her collection every now and then.

So I was thinking, what if there was a bag specifically meant for the Rebecca Minkoff lover? Well, apparently, now there is! Or at the very least, it was a clever play on words by this much loved designer. Introducing the Rebecca Minkoff Lover’s Clutch. This yummy leather clutch features a genuine wooden frame handle and gold-tone hardware. It is large enough to hold all of your essentials and it absolutely perfect for a girls’ night out. I think what I admire most about this clutch, however, is its retro-inspired design. In fact, if it didn’t look so “new”, I would swear it was vintage! It would definitely make a wonderful addition to Rebecca Minkoff veteran and newbie collections alike!

Lately, I have been obsessing over exotic leathers. They can really make a regular designer handbag look that much more amazing. The Dior “Babe Python” Frame Bag recently caught my eye. It’s simply a cute evening bad, that is dressed up in this gorgeous python skin. I can totally envision wearing a gold, silver, or black dress with this bag. This is definitely the type of bag that no matter what you wear, it pops out at you.

What I love most about this bag is that it comes with a detachable coin purse that matches the bag. I think that it so cute that not only do you get this stunning bag but you get a little cute accessory to go with your purchase. Face it, it’s the least they can do for the amount of money you pay for an exotic bag.

I currently do not own any snakeskin bag’s. I was once told at a Michael Kors store that snakeskin is very hard to maintain because it starts flaking after a while. Genuine snakeskin bags are always in the thousand’s range, and for them to flake after a while does sounds pretty awful after all the money you invest in them. They are gorgeous bags, but if a bag isn’t going to last as long as a regular leather bag is it really worth it? Is all the beauty and high maintenance of a bag make it really worth all those thousands you put into it? I definitely don’t think so.

The Dior “Babe Python” Frame Bag can be purchased at Saks Fifth Avenue for $6,550. This bag is beautiful, but it’s not worth the price. I want to be able to carry a bag around whenever I want. If I have to be extra careful with a bag, and not carry it around much because of it being so high maintenance it’s not worth the high price to me then. Overall though, this bag is stunning.

Oh my gosh! I can’t believe I’m heading back to school already! Fall is literally just around the corner, whether I’m ready for it or not. Now I’ve never been much of a fan of the Fall season. I mean, who wants to rake up all those leaves in the front yard? But I suppose there is something good that comes from Fall — Metallics! In fact, a great metallic handbag is my accessory of choice for the Fall season. I especially love the bronze shades! They are so pretty and they go with just about everything in my wardrobe!

And speaking of metallics, I found this lovely metallic bag from Michael Kors while browsing on their official website. Introducing the Michael Kors Zuma Satchel. This bag is so unique and fun, I absolutely love the horizontal pleats and knot detail. It’s funny because this bag almost reminds me of a Kooba bag, only with a slightly higher price tag. I think what I like most about this bag, however, is that it is both neutral and shimmery at the same time. It would be perfect for day or for night, whatever the occasion may be! But just in case you’re not in the mood for a metallic handbag, the Michael Kors Zuma Satchel is available in Black as well!

As the summer season will soon come to an end, I’m anticipating the arrival of the hottest fall styles to hit the shelves. Bottega Veneta is ahead of the game with this perfect fall handbag, the Metallic Leather Shopper Bag. This beauty is fall/winter friendly with its shade of glimmery metallic gold that’s versatility can pretty much be carried year round. This would make the perfect accessory for your browns and blacks and of course, those holiday shades of red you’ll soon add to your wardrobe. I was surprised to see this and one other Bottega bag lack the infamous Veneta pattern of woven rich leather, since the weaves stay among all of the brands leather goods. But this time around, wave seams were made for a change, and frankly, I think they look great.

I absolutely like everything from the oversized dimensions of this tote bag to the double leather and chain link straps on this piece, and the finishing touches of suede lining to the metal feet to protect this baby are all great. Although I’m not too pleased with the $1,950 price tag, but then again this is Bottega Veneta, and if I had the wallet for this tote bag, I’d definitely give in!
