A new designer has made their way into the world of handbags! Introducing Von Holzhausen! The handbag line was launched in Spring 2012 by mastermind Vicki von Holzhausen. Does her name sound familiar? It might not, but she is actually a famous designer from another realm. Fascinated with design since her childhood, von Holzhausen chose a career in advanced automotive design. She worked for Mercedes Benz, Audi, and General Motors and she is credited for the interior design of the Pontiac Solstice Convertible and the Saturn Sky Roadster. So if you own one of those, you are already familiar with her work!

I have the Louis Vuitton Azur Bandouliere Carry-on in my collection and when I purchased it a couple years back, it was my favorite go-to travel bag. However the last 8 months or so it’s been tucked away in its sleeper bag and only brought out on a few occasions.

A few months back I got the Crown Edition by Heys Luggage spinner, which is such a dream! It has become my essential when air-traveling. No carrying, dragging or pushing needed, it glides at your side with easy (be careful going down slanted walkways!) And if you’re like me and tend to stuff your carry-on travel bag to the max, luggage on wheels is totally the way to go. Nobody wants a sore back. That combined with jet-lag could put your vacation off on the wrong foot.

Summer is practically here and it’s time to bring out all of our Summer gear. It’s a goal of mine to buy more dresses and skirts to wear this Summer. I think I wore jeans all Summer last year and I almost died. I live in Florida and my gosh is it hot here during the Summer so dresses are a must this year! With Summer clothing, I also think it’s great to have bags that are Summer appropriate! Any bag that is light and colorful always wins my vote and I have to say I’m kind of in love with the Juicy Couture “Emblazon” Shopper Tote. It’s perfect for the upcoming Summer season and I absolutely love the geometric cutouts. I even adore the rhinestone turn-lock closure because it gives the bag a glamorous look.

This is definitely the perfect bag to carry around during the Summer. It screams vacation, beach, pool and heat. I love that it can go with a wide range of outfits. I can see myself carrying it when I have a dress or romper on as well as a bikini with a cover up. It’s a perfect bag to have for the Summertime because it’s so versatile and I love it!

Black & Gold. How do you feel about that trend? Wait… is it a trend? Black and gold together has been around for a long time. However, every time this trend resurfaces, it looks and feels brand new. I suppose the look is different enough that it just feels refreshing. Usually when you see black and gold together, it is black leather with gold hardware. Nice! But I stumbled across a very interesting looking piece.
