Martine Sitbon Satchel

Sometimes it’s always handy and fun to have a simple handbag. A bag that’s on the large side and that you can carry around on a daily basis. I know, for me personally, I love purses that I can use all year long especially if it was expensive. I feel like I got my money’s worth if it’s been used a lot.

The Martine Sitbon “Top and Front” Zipper Satchel is a perfect example of a handbag you could literally use with just about any casual outfit. It’s one of those bags that if you don’t like changing your handbag often, you could use it for a week straight and it would look fabulous with any outfit. I definitely get in those moods, when I’m constantly on the go and the last thing on my mind is switching my purse.

Coach Madison Sophia

For the past couple of seasons, the All-American brand of Coach has done some serious renovations at their headquarters. They started with a sleek website layout and continued with some of the chicest leather goods that have caught the eye of many Bagistas. Coach even managed to gain some customers back, including the ones who swore they would never give the brand the time of day again. If you count your months by handbag purchases, then I’ve been facing a drought for years. No high-end designer goods have caught my attention in a while. I demand something fresh in order to initiate a monetary savings for it. Instead, I finally met my wardrobe requests of possessing the perfect nude toned handbag for my daily needs. With the direction that Coach was heading, I knew someday we would encounter each other again. Greet my latest addition, the Coach Madison Embossed Python Sophia Satchel. I must rave about the color as it the first feature that truly caught my attention; it’s a gorgeous shade of nude that easily compliments any outfit.

Juicy Couture Sequin Day Dreamer

I don’t know about all of you, but Juicy Couture just hasn’t been doing it for me lately when it comes to their Day Dreamer Totes. There is the new embroidered design here or the different ribbon embellishment there, but they don’t really change that much from season to season. It wasn’t long before I found myself passively yawning as I passed by the Juicy Couture display at my favorite local department store. All of this changed, however, during my latest little shopping trip (okay, I was really there to pay the bill but it’s always a good excuse to check out all the pretty new things). I walked past the large Juicy Couture display and this one bag just jumped out at me. It’s called the Juicy Couture Hi-Shine Day Dreamer!

There’s a rumor out there that Balenciaga is moving to Madison Avenue, Manhattan in New York City.

Earlier this week a spokesman for the company confirmed that the house, which has a store on West 22nd Street, will open a second Balenciaga shop in Manhattan in early 2012. Check back for more details. The final word will be out in September.

Yves Saint Laurent Recycled Muse Two

Did you know that Yves Saint Laurent has a bag made out of recycled goods? But not just any bag, the Muse Two. Yves Saint Laurent has partnered up with female artisans in Burkina Faso to produce the ‘Muse Two Artisanal Recycled’ bag, a hand-crafted masterpiece made out of recycled plastic bags and fair-trade cotton.

Summer Bag Trend: Linen Bags

During those warm summer months, nothing beats a brightly colored straw tote! It is the ultimate summer-only accessory! The only problem is that they aren’t appropriate for all occasions. Sometimes you need a chic style, even a professional-looking one. After all, many of us bagistas have that annoying thing called work that we have to go to and it doesn’t care if it happens to be a gorgeous summer day outside or not. But not to worry, you can still have a summer-only handbag and feel very work-appropriate at the same time! How? Try a classic, structured style in a neutral summer fabric! My favorites are linen and burlap. These fabrics are light and luxurious, yet so unexpected. Pictured below are a few of my favorite styles, check them out!

Rebecca Minkoff Linen Morning After Mini Bombe Bag – $374
A favorite among Minkettes, the Morning After Mini Bombe is a great classic style. I love the oatmeal linen canvas paired with the contrasting black patent leather trim. Sleek and simple, this style is perfect for carrying your everyday essentials!

Alexander Wang Ryan

I have no idea why, but I would say in the past year my love for smaller bags and clutches have grown. I use to be so anal about only using larger handbags but since I’m very unorganized I’m learning that less really is more in my case.

What I love about clutches, is that depending on what they look like they can either be ones you can carry around all day long or strictly in the evening. Obviously, evening clutches are usually satin, adorned in crystals or something very flashy. The Alexander Wang “Ryan” Handle Clutch is a perfect example of a clutch you can use all day long and all year long.
