Marc by Marc Jacobs Clearly Bag

Marc by Marc Jacobs Clearly Top Handle Shoulder Bag
I feel like I am going crazy. Well, just a little bit. I keep seeing transparent handbags popping up in random places. Forgive me if I am wrong here, but I thought transparent handbags were dead. I mean, they were never really that popular to begin with. They were a very brief trend, I guess you could say. So I don’t think anyone can really blame me for being surprised. The latest transparent handbag to cross my path is pictured here. Meet the Marc by Marc Jacobs Clearly Bag!

Alexander McQueen Britannia Crystal Skull Clutch

Orange McQueen Britannia Clutch
I know we have seen the Alexander McQueen “Britannia” Crystal Skull Clutch before. We are all use to seeing it in the colors that represent the UK, red, white and blue. However, the clutch is so beautiful and fun that it’s great to see it released in other colors. I have to admit orange is one of my least favorite colors but I absolutely love it on this clutch. This clutch looks even cuter now and more perfect for the Spring and Summer. My Father’s family is English so I’m accustomed to seeing the British flag everywhere. However, I myself was born in the United States so for me it’s nice to see this beautiful clutch in a different color. It would be kind of odd for me to carry around a clutch of the Union Flag in the appropriate colors when I’m not from the UK but I don’t see a problem carrying around an orange one! It kind of states I’m proud to have English blood in me but I respect I’m not from there so I won’t carry around the actual colors.

Rebecca Minkoff Bright Crisscross Bonnie Satchel

Rebecca Minkoff sure has a bad case of Spring Fever! That’s okay though, I have a really bad case as well. I don’t know what the weather is like where she is, but they are expecting a rain/snow mix this week where I live. Spring has been so SLOW to get here. So yes, I am itching like crazy right now! That’s why I am so happy to see all the Spring-y pieces Rebecca Minkoff has to offer this season.

My latest obsession is the Rebecca Minkoff Bright Crisscross Bonnie Satchel!

This lovely satchel is really eye catching! I love the woven leather exterior. It creates a nice seasonal look without the use of straw. In fact, the contrasting blue and white creates a geometric print that looks almost nautical in a way. And the brown leather trim adds the perfect accent to this piece. This satchel really looks like something that could stick with you all the way until Fall!

The casual feeling is perfect for those carefree days strolling around the boardwalk or even your local farmers market. However, it is big enough to hold a laptop too, so you could certainly take this satchel just about anywhere!

Finish the look:
Rebecca Minkoff Bright Crisscross Bonnie Satchel. $550
Club Monaco Lois Shirtdress. $198
Jenni Kayne D’Orsay Flats. $498

Valextra B Cube Tote

Valextra B Cube
Net-A-Porter has added a new designer to their already awesome handbag section. Has anyone ever heard of Valextra? I certainly haven’t. But Net-A-Porter describes them as an Italian heritage brand that takes pride in their handmade luxury handbags. This is interesting to me because handbags that are handmade by artisans or craftsmen are harder and harder to come by. What I also find intriguing is the overall style of these handbags. The designs are very simple with clean lines and discrete labels. In my opinion, nothing is more sophisticated than an understated handbag. They act as a building block, rather than a centerpiece. This is important, especially if you’re looking for a wardrobe staple.

Juicy Couture Malibu Straw & Sequin Beach Tote

Juicy Couture Malibu Straw & Sequin Beach Tote
Juicy Couture is one of those brands that has completely changed since when I first started my designer handbag obsession back in the early 2000′s. Back then Juicy Couture was known for their cutesy terry cloth bags, but since then they’ve added a bunch of new styles, with a more classic vibe.

Best Selling Handbags at Neiman Marcus. Prada, Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent!

Ever curious what other bags people are buying? Here are a couple of hot tamales that flew off store shelves this week from department store Neiman Marcus!

Prada Saffiano Lux Tote Bag
Prada Saffiano Lux Tote is the ultimate work tote! Couple years ago when I was on the hunt for a work tote I was bouncing back and forth between purchasing the Chanel Cerf and the classic black Prada Saffiano Lux tote. In the end I went the Chanel Cerf (partly because the Chanel SA was so sweet and helpful and) because I liked the softer, more relaxed style, whereas the Saffiano is all structure. Worth noting, this leather is incredibly durable! It will withstand daily wear. This bag is available in so many different colors, this one pictured here is the Caramel and retails for $1895.

Valentino The Rockstud Clutch

Valentino The Rockstud Clutch
You guys see that showstopping stud & crystal Valentino Rockstud I mentioned yesterday? That beauty was brand new to the virtual shelves and sold out within hours upon arrival. Without a doubt I’m sure that bag will be restocked soon.

Even if I couldn’t get my hands on that sparkly favorite, I think that this casual red version would be amazing to own. I like the simplicity of this one more, compared to the glammed up version. This one has the look that can be worn from day to night in easy transition. Whereas the glammed up version is more dedicated to cocktail hour and evening soirees.

What do you guys think?

The Valentino’s Rockstud Clutch is available at Net-a-Porter.

Marc Jacobs Single Quilted Crossbody Bag

Lets talk color for just a second. Remember a couple months back when Pantone declared emerald as the ‘It Color’ for 2013 and everyone followed suit. Trendsetters, stylists, and designers all started coveting this hot new shade – Green for Spring! But in recent weeks I’ve noticed that color has started to dwindle off the radar. Could it be just that everyone is over this shade and opting for more summer-esque shades?
