It’s pretty, purple, and by Prada. Laying eyes on this piece, I had nothing more to say than it’s just what you expect from the House of Prada, it’s striking, classy, and very chic. At times, Prada enjoys experimenting in the Bag Lab by adding mad textiles or unattractive extras in attempt to create something new. This time around there’s no bows, chains, or fur; just polished calfskin leather with bold chunky gold toned hardware.

It’s not too simple and definitely not boring. A handbag can’t get any better when it’s 1.) Attractive and 2.) Comfortable. I’d argue that this handbag fits both categories. The slouchy body of this hobo arrives suspended off of a single flat, thick shoulder strap that your shoulders will thank you for after a day of long wear.

Of course I must mention that lovely shape that Saks is calling graceful; it’s timeless, and doesn’t appear to be too stiff with the slight slouch. The beneficial zipper pocket up front I’d use for my keys and Blackberry, and the pale pink leather lining contrasts nicely. If you’re more interested in a year-round color than trendy berry, a striking brown, caramel-like version is available in this Vitello Hobo style.

I currently don’t own any Dolce & Gabbana handbags, but I’ve always loved them. Dolce & Gabbana handbags are always classy, fabulous, and very expensive.

My favorite Dolce & Gabbana bag at the moment is the “Miss Sicily Leather Bag.” It kind of reminded me of the Fendi “Peek-A-Boo” bag, which I’ve loved ever since I laid eyes on it.

This bag is a great everyday, sophisticated bag. I could totally envision a doctor, lawyer, or some type of business woman carrying this bag around. To me, this bag screams professional. I would expect to see this bag on a desk in an office, or having a woman in a suit holding it.

At the same time though, I can see a fashionista sporting this bag around too. This is a bag that I could see myself using when I’m well put together, or put a lot of thought into my outfit. To me, this bag is way too fancy looking to go with the whole casual look but of course that’s just my opinion.

The only thing I don’t like about this bag is the front flap closure. By looking at this bag with that type of handle, I would of thought it opened and closed at the top. Having a flap seems odd to me for this type of bag. The bag is on the small side, so why not have it open on the top for easier access? The bigger version of this bag does open on the top, which seems like the smarter way to open and close this bag. Other than that, this is one fabulous bag!

The Dolce & Gabbana “Miss Sicily Leather Bag” can be purchased at Nordstrom for $1,895. The price is very high, but I wouldn’t expect any less from Dolce & Gabbana. Most Dolce & Gabbana bags are expensive, since they are made in Italy. Expensive or not, the bag is beautiful!

I always hear my Mom and other family members of mine talking about finding that perfect black tote. My Aunts and my Mom are always on the go, therefore they all carry totes. I’m not really a fan of totes, but I do like the MICHAEL Michael Kors “Chrissi Large North/South Tote.”

I’m not sure if I would actually carry this tote around, but it is a perfect tote for someone that is constantly busy. Being that it’s black leather, it would be a great everyday. The black leather can handle everyday usage without it being too noticeable. I’ve noticed on my Mom’s black handbags that it takes quite a while to see the wear and tear on them because the darkness of the leather prevents it from being obvious.

This is one of those bags that can be used everyday, with literally any outfit. You can be dressed up, or completely dressed down. To me, it’s a casual bag but yet since it’s black you can also used it when you are looking your best.

My favorite feature of this bag, are the compartments on the exterior. There are four different pockets you can store your belongings in right on the outside of the bag. Another “pro” about this bag, is that it has a zip top closure. Most totes are usually open on the top leaving your belongings, so to see one that can be closed is a plus.

The MICHAEL Michael Kors “Chrissi Large North/South Tote” can be purchased at Zappos for $382, which is a great deal for a purse that you can use all year long. It’s always great to add a bag to your collection that will get constant use!

I had thought the neon trend was long gone, but boy was I wrong. Michael Kors has brought out the “Uptown Astor Satchel” in neon pink. The Astor satchel has always been one of Michael Kors most iconic bags. Even when you go into the Michael Kors store there is always an Astor satchel sitting on one of the shelves in one of the many colors they are made in.

I do think the Astor handbag is an amazing bag. It’s spacious, stylish, and is the perfect handbag is carry around all year long. I’m so use to seeing the Astor in beautiful colors like black, brown tan and white. To see this iconic handbag in neon is a little odd. It doesn’t compliment the bag well, and doesn’t let the bag look like the icon that it is.

It’s kind of weird that Michael Kors would release this handbag now. The neon trend was earlier this year, and now that it’s almost Fall you don’t see very many bright colors at stores. It would be a total surprise to see someone actually carry this bag around in the Fall or Winter, but if someone can rock it during those seasons then more power to them!

The MICHAEL Michael Kors “Uptown Astor Satchel” in neon pink can be purchased at Michael Kors for $448. That is a great price for a Michael Kors handbag, but I’m not sure I would spend that much on a neon bag. If you love neon colors though, then you may want to add this iconic handbag to your collection.

I think wristlet’s are perfect for when you are on the go, in a rush, or just simply don’t want to carry much. My all time favorite wrislet has always been the Louis Vuitton “Wapity Case” but spending $315 for something so small can seem impractical. I mean face it, for less than $400 more you can get a Louis Vuitton Speedy, so why pay so much for something that can’t hold much. Never fear though, there are many designers out there that make much more affordable wristlet’s.

One of my favorite wristlet’s at the moment is the See by Chloé “Zip File” Zip Around Pouch. It’s really cute, comes in three stylish colors, and the price is great. Obviously, if you love carrying around a ton of stuff with you all day long a wristlet wouldn’t work for you. If you are someone that doesn’t like to carry much, or you just want a simple little bag to go to the grocery store, or perhaps get some gas in it’s perfect!

I’m loving the pouch in “Peppermint.” The color is so vibrant, and if I’m carrying around something that is so small I’d like it to stick out in the crowd, or at least be colorful. I could totally see myself using this when I’m making quick runs around town.

The See by Chloé “Zip File” Zip Around Pouch can be purchased at Nordstrom for $95, which is an amazing price for a designer wristlet. It’s available in Black, Grenadine (Red), and Peppermint (Teal) and is definitely a cute little accessory to add to any designer purse collection!

I’ve always been a huge fan of the Marc Jacobs “Stam” satchel and now I think I may have found my favorite version of the popular bag. The “Stam” in patent leather just may be one of my favorite patent leather handbags at the moment. I didn’t think anything could top the Fendi “Peek-A-Boo” bag in patent leather, but the “Stam” comes in at a very close second.

What I’ve always loved about the Marc Jacobs “Stam” handbags is that they are classic, and timeless. The bag has been around for a little while now, and ever since it came out it’s been a favorite to handbag lover’s world wide. If there was a top 10 list of the most iconic designer handbags, it would definitely make the list.

Another “pro” about the “Stam” bag is that you can use them all year long. It’s not one of those handbags you can just use for a season or two. With the patent leather version of the bag, you can literally carry it around day or night and it wouldn’t matter. To me, you can’t classify this bag as a day or evening bag because it’s so versatile. I would personally carry this satchel around while wearing a dress during the day, and then with some leggings at night. When I’m able to use the same bag all day long, it makes me feel much better about spending over a thousand dollars on it.

The Marc Jacobs “Stam” Patent Leather Satchel can be purchased at Bloomingdales for $1,350, which I think is a great price for this bag. For some reason I envisioned it costing a lot more, so the price came at a great surprise. It’s a gorgeous bag, and definitely worth every penny!

The Chat: Jacobs Stam!

I’m a huge fan of patent leather and when I saw the Valentino “Bow Bowling” Satchel I instantly became a fan. I love satchels and when I’m able to find a stylish one in patent leather, it usually ends up on my wish list.

The Valentino “Bow Bowling” Satchel is adorable, but there is one feature of the handbag that I’m not very fond of. The little bow featured on the front of the bag is pretty much useless to me. I know a majority of Valentino things have bows, but it doesn’t do much justice on this handbag. Without the bow the handbag would probably look much better.

I’m love the handbag in black, but I always prefer a black handbag over any color. Black goes with everything, and gives you the ability to carry the handbag around day or night. I’m not quite sure if I would even use this bag in red, but it is cute. I think the reason I’m not loving the red on the bag is because it reminds me too much of Christmas, or the holiday season in general. Since a bow is already on the satchel, it being in red just makes it look like a present to me. Red or not though, the Valentino “Bow Bowling” Satchel is fabulous.

The Valentino “Bow Bowling” Satchel can be purchased at Saks Fifth Avenue for $995, which is kind of shocking to me. Being that the handbag is by Valentino I was expecting it to be priced much higher! Any designer handbag that doesn’t reach over a thousand, gets an A+ in my book!
