Prada Marfa

Hum, I wonder if they have Madonna’s or Victoria Beckham’s gorgeous new Prada bag. I doubt it. If I ever go on a road trip or if I am ever driving along a long strip of road in the middle of nowhere I’m always the one saying “Where is the next rest area? Where is the gas station? Are we almost there? I’m bored.” I couldn’t even imagine driving on a long deserted road with nothing else in sight except this Prada building. You can look and admire, but no touching. Nothing is for sale at this Prada Marfa house, all the items inside this air-conditioned 15-by-25 foot cube structure were donated by Prada.

Prada Marfa is the first Prada-related building to be completely constructed of brick-mud. Prada Marfa was designed by artists Elmgreen and Dragset with help from architects Ronald Rael and Virginia San Fratello and funding from the Art Production Fund and Ballroom Marfa helped fund the project.
