Marc by Marc Jacobs Intergalocktic Static Plaid Nova Bag

When I first stumbled across the Marc by Marc Jacobs Intergalocktic Static Plaid Nova Satchel, I couldn’t help but giggle at the name a little bit. What immediately popped into my head was my husband and one of the silly things he likes to do. He will pop in a Beastie Boys CD while we are driving and blast it really loud just to annoy me. If you haven’t guessed where I’m going with this yet, it is “Intergalactic” that he likes to play.

Botkier Eden Satchel

I love Botkier handbags! They are so stylish and affordable, what isn’t there to like? They have been so popular among celebrities too. Whether it is on the arms of celebrities or everyday people walking down the street, there is one bag I haven’t seen very much of and that is the Botkier Eden Satchel. There were some magazine advertisements featuring the color-blocked version and then… nothing. Well, I stumbled across the latest version of this lovely style and couldn’t believe my eyes. Meet the Botkier Quilted Eden Satchel!

Dooney and Bourke Florentine Vachetta Satchel

Not too long ago, my good buddy and fellow TBFer was asking about the Dooney and Bourke Florentine Vachetta Satchel. She posted a couple colors and asked everyone what they thought. After some positive responses, she decided to order it. Well, ever since then, I have not been able to get this bag out of my mind. Admittedly, I have not been one of Dooney and Bourke’s biggest fans lately… so this is a bit weird for me. Just look at this bag though! If it hadn’t been for the logo on the front, I would have never guessed it was from Dooney and Bourke.

Yves Saint Laurent Studded Boxer Satchel

I haven’t been paying much attention to Yves Saint Laurent lately. That’s really too bad because this designer has some of the most breathtaking bags you’ll ever see. Yves Saint Laurent is most popular for their classic pieces. You know, the kind you can carry for many years and they will never go out of style. That’s why it was no surprise when Jennifer’s pick, the Yves Saint Laurent Roady, was named the eleventh “It Bag” for 2011 by StyleFind as part of a contest they were hosting last year. The fans voted and the Roady won! Just because Yves Saint Laurent has a lot of classic styles, that doesn’t mean this designer is lacking when it comes to fun pieces. Quite the contrary! Take a look at the Yves Saint Laurent Studded Boxer Satchel and you will see what I mean!

3.1 Phillip Lim Lark Duffel Bag

When I was younger, I liked anything that looked sporty. I was the type of girl that loved to pretty much look like “Sporty Spice” from the Spice Girls. Gym pants and sneakers were my favorite thing to wear at one point. Thankfully I’m out of that stage but I still like handbags that are simple and have a sporty look to them. I use to love handbags that had logos or colors all over them but now I think simplicity is best. Simplicity keeps fashion looking classy but yet stylish.

RED Valentino Dip-dyed Bow Satchel

Color blocking and Tie-Dye are taking over the fashion industry by storm. Sometimes I see the oddest colors paired together but yet the outfit still looks amazing. However, I’ve never been a fan of tie-dye and I probably never will be. To me that’s a trend that should of stayed in the 70′s and never came out. It makes me shake my head but I do like the dip-dye trend. It doesn’t exactly look like tie-dye and blends in very well.

The RED Valentino Dip-dyed Bow Satchel is cute and the colors look great together. What caught my eye was the hinged-snap closure. I love anything old school looking and to me that type of closure brings a classic feel to a bag. You don’t see it often and it always makes an impression on me. I do think this satchel would look cuter if it was smaller. At this size the bow looks a little too gaudy but it’s still stunning.

Jil Sander Textured Satchel

When I first learned of Jil Sander, it was through the infamous Market Tote. This designer screams minimalistic chic. In the case of the Market Tote, this sentiment definitely rings true. Super simple design meets super bright colors. The leather is luxuriously soft and the bag is versatile. I have always loved the idea of converting a handheld shopping tote into a shoulder bag with nothing more than a removable piece of leather. But Jil Sander is more than that one ingenious creation… so much more! Just take a look at the Jil Sander Textured Satchel. I stumbled across it the other day and it has been on my mind ever since!

Rebecca Minkoff School Boy Satchel

Black and white has really been creeping into the world of handbags lately. I will see one here and there, but they have definitely become more frequent these last few months. It should come as no surprise then that Rebecca Minkoff has decided to get in on some of the action. After all, she has always been pretty good at keeping up with what is hot (and what is not). Which styles did she choose to have a black and white rendition in? One of them is the Rebecca Minkoff School Boy Satchel! What an excellent choice!

Moni Moni Splendor Intrex Bag

I was checking out the Moni Moni Splendor Intrex Bag today, when something suddenly occurred to me. I had not seen a Moni Moni handbag in ages. I was curious and looked up the last time I wrote about a bag from this designer. Turns out, it was the Moni Moni Lilies Bag and it was exactly 3 years ago to this day (February 26, 2009). Holy cow! I guess that means a post about this designer is long overdue!
