Spring is here and Summer will be here sooner than we know it. In the fashion world we are currently surrounded by color and I love it. Which is odd to hear me say because for a few years I was into the black and white trend. I literally only bought and wore clothes that were black and white all year long. I wasn’t morbid I just liked all my dresses, skirts and shirts to be black and white. For some strange reason, when 2013 came I felt the need to branch out and get back to bringing some color in my life. Right now I’m all into bright and pastel colors and I can’t get enough of them. When I saw the Prada Degrade Sequin Paillettes Pouch I smiled.

I am ready for spring’s delicate hues though it seems like some fashion moguls are having a difficult time leaving behind winter’s black. Some newly released items arrive rockin’ in heavy-handed tints, such as the Skunk Paillettes Sequin Wristlet. For the record I’m not name-calling, Marc Jacobs observably named this oversized glimmery clutch after the easily identifiable mammal and coveted it into a finer thing. I’d have to say that everything about this clutch is quite attractive.
As I’ve written before, I love gorgeous and unique evening clutches. With that said, I’ve fallen head over heels for the Reece Hudson Swarovski Crystals and Stone Bead Minaudiere. This clutch is drop dead gorgeous and if I owned it I would probably carry it non-stop. It’s so bright and pretty that you can even get away with using it during the day time. I personally always dress up and I can already envision a ton of outfits that I could pair up with this beauty. The color is breathtaking and perfect for the upcoming Spring season. Also, the crystals and beads featured on the clutch compliment the color of the bag well and overall the bag is stunning.
I love crystals, stones and pretty much anything that is sparkly. Just today, I walked around the mall for a good three hours and everything I fell in love with had some type of bling on it. I saw lots of gorgeous clothing pieces as well as shoes that were adorned in crystals. They were all drop dead gorgeous and of course I wanted them all. The only crystal type bags I ever see are by Judith Leiber and Swarovski. Both brands make stunning clutches and I’m proud to own a Swarovski one. With that said, while browsing around Neiman Marcus today I came across the Marchesa Lily Crystal Box Clutch and I instantly fell in love. The clutch is breath taking and I can seriously envision a bride carrying this around on her wedding day. I know most brides normally don’t get a clutch to go with their gown but if any chose to this should be the one!
About two years ago with did a “Secret Santa” exchange on The Bag Forum. The whole idea was quite fun. We were basically buying and receiving a gift from someone we’ve only exchanged words with online. One year our brilliant founder, Jennifer, got me! She knows I’m obsessed with the color pink and she got me a gorgeous Juicy Couture pouch in like a coral color. I was instantly in love. It was beautiful and big enough to fit all my makeup inside. I carried it everyday with me and even neglected my Louis Vuitton makeup pouch. It was adorable, girly, pink and oh-so-me.
I was a model for many years and I quit to turn to acting. I’m currently in acting school at the moment and as part of my studies I go on sets of T.V. shows or movies that are being filmed in the South Florida area. In May, I got a part in a very popular cable T.V. show. I was so excited and brought my makeup, makeup brushes and carried it all in my pink Juicy Couture pouch. After a 15 hours shift, I went home and went straight to bed because I was filming for another T.V. show the very next day. When I went to pack my bags in the morning, I noticed my pink Juicy Couture pouch with all my makeup brushes and makeup was gone. I don’t like to assume, but to this day it’s never been found and I hope someone out in the world is enjoying my bag. I was pretty heart broken and I haven’t found a pouch as big and pretty and my Juicy Couture one.
I love all handbags but nothing beats an evening bag. I love looking glamorous and nothing finishes off a spectacular look than a gorgeous little bag. I’ve had the same evening bag, the Swarovski “Kiosque”, for years now and if I could I would use it everyday. It’s beautiful, like a piece of art, and it’s definitely one of those pieces that catches your eye. To me, evening bags should be covered in crystals and look more stunning than the regular handbag. They should be statement pieces and a great example of one if the Juicy Couture “Beaded” Minaudiere. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Juicy Couture come out with such an elegant bag, usually their bags are pretty hip looking, but I have to say I love it!
I just wrote in another post about the trends that always seem to resurface each year for the fall/winter season. One of those trends is perfect for the holiday season, but may be limited to a very narrow window of time. I’m talking about sequins! They can be a lot of fun! But you also have to be careful because you don’t want to look like a disco ball disaster either. That is the trick with most trends though, finding a good middle ground. That is why I am loving the Maison Scotch Sequin Shopper!
Why is this sequined tote so awesome? Well, for starters, it is made of super soft lambskin leather rather than thin and flimsy fabric. The sequins are two-tone, black on one side and silver on the other. This creates a great texture, whichever way the sequins happen to be flipped. Also notice that the sequins are only adorning the front side of the bag. While that may sound “cheap” at first, it is actually a really good idea.
I absolutely love crystals especially Swarovski crystals. To me, crystals just make accessories more stunning looking. On Saturday night I was at Macy’s and I nearly died and went to shoe heaven when I saw a pair of Steve Madden heels that were adorned in crystals. They were not cheap but it didn’t take more than 5 minutes to decide to purchase them. I literally pranced around in them at the shoe department before I bought them because I couldn’t believe how beautiful they were. Crystals are girly, fun and just drop dead gorgeous.
Classy and sophisticated evening bags make my heart melt. There is nothing better than getting all dolled up for a lovely evening out and having gorgeous accessories to go with your stunning outfit. For me, it’s always about the purse and the shoes. Yeah, and outfit can look amazing on you but the accessories always finish an outfit. The Valentino “Glam Lock” Flap Bag would definitely be the finishing touch to any fashionable evening outfit. I’m obsessed with the crystal embellishment and light pink color of the bag.
