To celebrate Louis Vuitton‘s 100th anniversary of the monogram canvas in 1996, Louis Vuitton selected a handful of designers to create their own signature piece. One of the designers asked was Spanish shoe designer Manuel “Manolo” Blahnik Rodríguez.
His creation, an oval shoe trunk (obviously right?)
Whenever I’m on the internet searching for fashionable accessories, I always go to Zappos. Zappos has a great selection of designers and the best part about them is that they don’t charge you tax or shipping! No tax or shipping in this economy helps a lot! Whenever I’m looking for anything fashion related, I always check to see if Zappos has it first. Tax is never so bad but the shipping some websites charge is ridiculous especially when you’re buying something so small.
Oh my goodness! Because if you didn’t already know by now, I am obsessed with Diane von Furstenberg. Obsessed! Clothing, shoes, etc, I love and buy it all. So obviously I’m going to be getting up bright and early for this sale!
The sale kicks off Thursday May 5th at 8: am PST 11: am EST online over at Rue La La.
The sale is going to feature “Shoes & Accessories” but my fingers are crossed that we’ll see some handbags. They have bags in the special preview…
Our friends over at StefaniBags put together this sweet deal for BagBliss readers, so that when you purchase any pair of Rebecca Minkoff shoes from the website, enter in the code BLISSPOUCH at checkout and you’ll receive the Rebecca Minkoff Je T’aime Pouch ($55 value), for free. Pretty sweet, huh?
So tell me, which pair of Rebecca Minkoff’s are you craving the most? (from the left:) Fabulous chunky Trout Cutout ($375), Brooke slingback sandals ($325) or the killer Femme Fatale ($315) heels?
In 1998, one of the most well known designer handbag brands came into light “Kooba”. Celebrities and even fashionista’s world wide can be seen carrying different designs from the brand on a daily basis. It’s remarkable to see that the brand started just 12 years ago and has already risen to the top.
Abbe Held, who is the creative director of Kooba, and her Mother were avid handbag shoppers that were on a mission to make their own handbag line. Not just any type of handbags though, ones that had a more vintage and organic look than what was already out there.
“The first creations of Kooba were a lot more structured”, said Ms. Held. Handbags were made in ultra suede, mens flannel material and were not made of leather. At first, the handbags were sold to Bergdorf Goodman and Scoop in New York City. Now, Kooba can be found in a variety of stores and online.
The first bag that really put Kooba on the map was the “Sienna”. “We received a lot of recognition from that bag”, said Abbe. Being that Ms. Held is the creative director for Kooba it comes as no surprise that she loves the long hobo’s the brand has to offer. She prefers bags that are hands free, and the “Bryce” is one of her favorites.
The Anniversary shopping sale party is happening now over at Nordstrom!
Below is just a small handful of my top favorite 4 online picks.
I live in Seattle, and even though the weather has been all good, bright and sunny the last couple days, I know there’s a rain shower waiting for us on the other side of the rainbow. Which means, any season is a good season to grab a pair of boots, and when a pair of designer boots reaches the sale section, I of course jump on that.
The Burberry Rain Boots are currently on sale for $169.90 (after sale $250)
A color that can easily transfer from Summer to Fall with ease. The Heloise in a yummy honey nutmeg brown shade. By the way, worth noting, this purse is full price at all other online department stores. Crazy deal happening now over at the Anniversary sale.
The Chloe Heloise is currently marked down to $998.90 (after sale $1,495)
WOW! Everyday I am seeing a new and exciting summer sale happen. Last year, it was so ho hum. No great items. No great deals. But this year, it’s a different story altogether! Just received my notice on the Jimmy Choo summer sale! Wow! There is alot of great stuff! Shoes are 25-50% off.
Check out the gorgeous and classic Premier Python Peep Toe Slingback for $597 Regular $1195! Of course sizing can be an issue when it comes to footwear, but fortunately for us..not with handbags!
So perfect for the upcoming Fourth of July season is the Zilli with star shaped studs! A darling little leather wallet that can be used as a clutch or cosmetic bag for $381.50 regularly $547!
And if you really want to go all out there’s the Starry bag on sale for $1396.50 from $1995! Now the official color is purple but it’s such a blueish shade of purple, I think you can work it for the holiday!
Jimmy Choo’s footwear designs range from classic wardrobe staples like strappy slingbacks, peep-toe pumps, to sophisticated gladiators and some truly outrageous over the top designs this season like the Light Up Platform Sandal. His handbags are stylish, sophisticated, and yes, expensive, but they haven’t reached that edge, until now.
The Jimmy Choo Scarlet Glazed Canvas Tote is a marriage of classic and extreme. The simple tote style is as basic a bag as you can find. With a large roomy size and coated canvas material, it features complete functionality as well. What isn’t basic, functional or classic is the over-the-top, eye-catching pattern laid out on the bag. Studded handles, animal prints, birds, chains, high heels and a bold swatch of purple cover this otherwise simple bag with fun, edgy and somewhat outrageous design!
The “Sweet Deal” event just kicked off over at online accessory boutique PiperLime, where they hand selected a variety of the latest day bags, evening clutches, winter boots, sexy pumps and more, and marked them up to a deal breaking 30% off.
The sale is going on from now until Sunday October 25th. Keep in mind while browsing, that the items are expected to sell out fast, and the inventory is limited.
