Betsey Johnson Tote-ally Reversible Skull Tote

betsey johnson handbags: Betsey Johnson Tote-ally Reversible Skull Tote
Halloween is coming, and skulls seem to be everywhere. Some designers, like Ed Hardy and Alexander McQueen, have been known to put skulls all over their stylish goods. Betsey Johnson has came out with the “Tote-ally Reversible Skull Tote” and it would be super cute to use during October.

I would probably only use this tote in October. When I think of Halloween, I immediately think of bats, vampires, witches, and skulls. I’m a huge fan of skulls, but I’ve never had a handbag that had one on it. Then again, I suppose if you wear a lot of black, or love skulls in general you could use this handbag whenever you wanted.

I would classify this tote as edgy. I don’t think anyone would use this bag when you’re going somewhere fancy, or to a special occasion. This bag would look great with any outfit that features black. Whether, it’s leggings, skinny jeans, or just by wearing some sort of black top this bag would look great.

The coolest part about this bag is that it is reversible. If you ever get sick of having a skull on your bag, you can always reverse it and use the side that features tons of roses. It’s a clever idea because that way you can never get sick of the bag!

Thomas Wylde Day of the Dead Clutch

Thomas Wylde Day of the Dead Clutch
Paula Thomas is at it again, bringing us yet another Thomas Wylde clutch with a skull theme. However, this time around she has put a little bit of a spin on the skull theme with the new Thomas Wylde Day of the Dead Clutch. This lovely clutch, named for the Mexican (and Latino) holiday that is celebrated by many people all over the world, is covered with tiny skull-shaped studs. This fold-over style clutch is composed of distressed black leather, something Thomas Wylde handbags are known for. What I find most interesting about this clutch, however, is the double chain strap. The two straps are separate from one another and completely removable. The straps are also of different lengths. So you can wear the clutch with two straps, one strap, or none at all.

When it comes to the Thomas Wylde Day of the Dead Clutch, I find myself having some mixed feelings. I love the simple, unstructured shape and the fold-over styling. I also like the tiny skull studs. But when I look at this clutch, I also think it could have been a little bit better. Instead of gold hardware, I would have liked to have seen this clutch with silver or gunmetal hardware. I’m not sure what it is, but for some reason, when I think of rocker-chic I think of black paired with silver or gunmetal hardware. But maybe that’s just a generation thing.
