Cleobella Selma Bag
Anytime I hear the name “Selma”, I automatically think of Selma Hayek. Selma Hayek has always been a Latina that’s extremely proud of her heritage and where she comes from. She really is one of the actresses that embraces her Mexican roots and that’s pretty admirable of her.
When I think of Mexican fashion I think of dresses featuring colorful designs and flowers. Mexican fashion is one of a kind and when you see it, you instantly familiarize with it. The Cleobella “Selma” Bag reminded me of a Spanish style looking bag. Perhaps, that’s exactly what Cleobella had in mind hence the name “Selma”.
I could envision any Hispanic woman carrying this bag around. Of course you don’t have to be Hispanic to purchase or use this bag but it does have a Spanish feel to it. The fringe, braided strap and the drawstring remind me of handbags I would see my Grandmother and Mother use when I was little.
This would also make a great bag to use at anytime of the day. To me, it’s casual enough for a daytime look but it’s style is so unique that it also would make a great evening bag. With that said, it would compliment jeans or even a dress. It really is one of those bags that you can pair of with a variety of looks. It’s different and because of that I like it!
You can purchase the Cleobella “Selma” Bag at Shop Bop for $198.
