M Missoni Classic Day Tote

missoni weekender
For Missoni I have to admit I’m a little bummed. There is absolutely no hint of Missoni anywhere on this bag, not even the interior lining. The inside of the bag features a striped black and white print – don’t get me wrong, the black and white stripe trend is huge right now (I’m crazy about it!), but it’s just not Missoni.

Diane von Furstenberg On the Go Tote

DVF On the Go Bag
The Diane von Furstenberg On the Go Tote is the newest silhouette added to the DvF fashion house and I am loving it down to the stitch. The functional design and stylish print are a match made in purse heaven.

By the way, what do you guys think of Diane’s new Lip Logo? I think it looks great on the logo tag, but honestly I would probably remove it – the tote already says “Diane von Furstenberg” on the front. Is there really a need for double DvF labeling? Besides that minuscule detail I’m greatly in love with this bag. I love the black and white print. Anyone else crazily obsessing with the black and white trend happening right now? And most important, the design of the bag is completely functional! The main compartment of the tote features a magnetic-snap top, when opened reveals a spacious interior with 4 pockets and a pen slot. Wait, that’s not all this bag has to offer. As you can see from the picture above, there are more pockets conveniently located around the exterior radius of the bag. There are four more magnetic pockets on all sides of the bag. This is the ultimate day bag!

Kenzo Tiger Nylon Packaway Shopper

Kenzo Tiger Shopper
I love reusable shopping totes! I love the idea of being eco-friendly by avoiding the plastic shopping bags they hand out like candy at all the stores. But they do have a practical purpose as well. They help keep things at my house clutter-free since I was always saving plastic bags to take to the recyclers. Reusable shopping totes allow me to skip that part all together! Now they do have their disadvantages, I will admit that. They can take up a lot of room in my car. Plus you need to be careful if you use them when you’re buying meat at the grocery store. Make sure the wash those babies afterwards because they can harbor a ton of nasty bacteria! That being said, I still think the benefits outweigh the inconveniences. So when I saw the Kenzo Tiger Nylon Packaway Shopper, I just knew I had to write about it!

M Missoni Space Dye Tote

Missoni print bag
Confession time. I have to admit, ever since Missoni teamed up with Target a couple years ago, I’ve been turned off from Missoni stuff. And I use to be obsessed with Missoni too! I have a dozen scarves and shawls, some dresses and a couple pairs of shoes that I purchased before the Target collaboration. Since then I just haven’t been interested in the iconic Zig-Zag print. I’m not knocking the Target stuff (or Missoni). I was one of those standing in line at the break of dawn and soon as the doors opened I grabbed everything I could. However, I NEVER wore any of it or used any of their home decor stuff. It actually just went straight to the Goodwill. The quality just wasn’t there or what I was use to come to expect from Missoni products.

Nancy Gonzalez “Cutout Overlay” Crocodile Tote. Sketchbook brought to life!

Gonzalez_Crocodile_Tote
I’m not fond of crocodile accessories. To me, they’re not pretty, it’s not my thing but that’s just me. I currently do not own anything that is made of crocodile but who knows maybe one day that will change. I had a little but of a change of heart when I saw the Nancy Gonzalez “Cutout Overlay” Crocodile Tote. It doesn’t look like it’s totally crocodile, even though it is, and the asymmetrical design on the front of the bag is kind of cool looking! Nancy Gonzalez is the best designer, in my eyes, when it comes to crocodile accessories. No one quite does it like she does but of course that’s just my opinion.

MM6 Maison Martin Margiela Shopper

Can you define the word “minimalism” in only three words? I certainly can — Maison Martin Margiela! You have probably seen handbags from this designer floating around here and there. They are always very clean and simple. You won’t find any flashy hardware or complicated designs here! If you love this minimalistic look, then Maison Martin Margiela sounds perfect for you! There’s just one problem, these pieces tend to be a bit pricey (especially considering the fact there isn’t much to them). There isn’t a lot of bang for your buck. That is why I was so excited when I saw this designer’s diffusion line called MM6. Check out the MM6 Maison Martin Margiela Shopper and tell me what you think!

Prada Spring Collection: Parabole Spazzolato Bag

I’m currently searching for a new blag, a new black bag to be exact. It’s 2013, and I want to get rid of most of my handbags and start new! A lot of my bags are old and I’m dying to have one classy and gorgeous black bag. I’m not sure what style I want my bag to be but it’s definitely fun to look around and see what bags are out there.

At the moment, I’m severely obsessed with the Prada “Parabole” Spazzolato. I saw a Tory Burch bag a while ago that looked similar to this one but the “Parabole” takes the crown! I love that the bag is incredibly simple. There isn’t much to it and because of that I love it. Bags that are simple always tend to look more clean and just have a pretty look to them overall. I also love that this bag looks professional. It looks like a bag that a professional woman or a woman on a mission would carry.

Reusable Designer Shopper Totes: Foley + Corinna, Karl Lagerfeld, Marni and Malene Birger

Ever since the Plastic Bag Ban Law here in Seattle passed I have been stocking up on shopper totes. I remember a few years ago when Anya Hindmarch kicked off the anti-plastic bag trend with her stylish “I’m Not A Plastic Bag” and ever since then designers and even departments stores (love the Norstrom’s Tote!) jumped on trend creating their own reusable totes. I probably have over 50 basic ones that I use when I go to the grocery store, that I don’t really care too much about and toss in the washer every so often. They do need to be washed occasionally!! However when I walk down to Pike Place Market here in Seattle I usually opt for something more fashionable, like my Burberry Check Market Tote or my Jacobs by Marc Jacobs for Marc by Marc Jacobs in collaboration with Marc Jacobs for Marc by Marc Jacobs floral tote (yea, it’s a mouthful).

Here are a few of my favorite picks for reusable designer shopper totes. Featuring Foley + Corinna, KARL, Malene Birger and Marni.

Foley + Corinna Bon Voyage Additional Shopper. $82 (orig $165)
Oh my gersh you guys this one is on sale too. What I love about this Foley + Corinna reusable bag is that it folds up into a wristlet! Convenient.
