Oh my gosh, where has the semester gone? Spring Break is just around the corner, meaning the semester is already half over. Now if only it felt like it was Spring outside! Oh well, I suppose I could always go somewhere warm for Spring Break.

Now all this talk about Spring Break has gotten me in the mood for some warm weather accessories! How about beach totes? Nothing screams fun-in-the-sun like a straw or raffia beach tote! I love the tapered styles too! I’m not sure why though, something about the shape just calls to me. Interestingly, what I’ve found while browsing around for these babies is that bright shades of pink really seem to be popular this season. As I was watching the Fashion at the 2011 Grammys, I couldn’t help but notice how fabulous Rihanna’s dress was that she wore on the red carpet. To be honest, I can’t even remember the designer. I just remember being speechless because it was practically see through but yet so beautiful at the same time. It literally looked like rows and rows of ruffles but in between the ruffles were pretty much nothing!

The Diane von Furstenberg “Stephanie” Medium Bag kind of reminded me of Rihanna’s dress. The bag looks like it’s full of ruffles and once again in between the ruffles are nothing! Identical to Rihanna’s dress if you ask me.

I love this handbag because it doesn’t look like anything else out there right now. It also reminds me of when I was a kid and everyone wanted those shoe laces that looked like a slinky. Only this bag has the shoe laces all over it.

Another feature I love about this bag is that it has a detachable shoulder strap and handle. Usually, a bag only has a detachable shoulder strap but handle too? That’s pretty unique and clever. Makes me want the bag more or at least dream about it. All in all, it’s a different looking bag and would perfect for the upcoming Spring months since it’s white!

We’re bringing Gucci into the spotlight with one of the best looking satchel in a while by the Italian House. According to Gucci sources, this large satchel is said to be ‘handmade’. If that is in fact accurate, then this satchel counts for a lovely Italian artisan piece.

Such striking details that reflect off this large beauty, starting with its rich brown leather body. My favorite feature of all has got to be the remarkable braided detailing that is found towards the lower bottom of the satchel. The twisting patterns give character to what would have been a simple looking bag and fantastically braided top handles gives off the perfect finishing touches to a bohemian-chic style bag that’s sure to occupy closet space for many seasons to come.

Without any aid from its description I would have never guessed that this piece is in fact by Tory Burch. From a distance, it looked more like the creations of a striving designer or like any ordinary pretty piece that sits pretty at a trendy, non-designer store.

If you have followed in the past, you know that the Crescent straw handbag isn’t your typical Burch classic. But as we can see from the attempt at it, I would say she absolutely nailed it! The first thing that pops right out is the majestic design of black grooved tones that contrasts beautifully against the tan interwoven straw silhouette. Other cool features include black leather handles and the excellent choice of gold toned hardware to fit the vibe. Right at the center is the recognizable Tory Burch medallion, in a discrete size that suits the overall look of this tote bag.

I’m loving the weave Cole Haan Heritage Hobo. It’s very Bottega Veneta – esque without the quadruple that price tag. Currently it’s available over at Saks Fifth Avenue in classic black and yummy woodbury brown for $348 – Bottega Veneta bags in this similar style would range from $1,800 + so in my eyes this is such a fabulous look for less. What do you guys think Fab or Drab?

What makes a handbag “busy”? Sometimes they don’t necessarily have to arrive with bright colors and bold logos, as even a single toned handbag with excess detailing can be too much for the more traditional bagista. I don’t have much experience with the ultimate unique and feminine designs of Lockheart, but I can’t help but stare at the new Cadence Braided Leather Hobo.

Make that an extra emphasis on the braided part, as the crafty design is found pretty much everywhere. There is knotting down the seams and middle, at the handles, decorating the pockets; anyone feel like this texture was a bit too overdone?
