I knew I was on to something when I wrote about the Coach Boucle Chelsea Bag! Remember how I said I liked Fall-ready fabrics on handbags? Well look at what just popped up over the horizon, it is certainly no Coach! Meet the Yves Saint Laurent Muse Two Prince of Wales!
That’s right, it’s the infamous Muse Two in a luxurious tweed fabric! Gorgeous, gorgeous! What I find fascinating about this bag is that the designer decided to go with a more modern twist when it came to the pattern. Tweed houndstooth is a classic indeed, but this is a little different. Net-A-Porter identifies the pattern as Prince of Wales-check. I’m not sure what that means exactly, but it looks to me like an abstract take on the timeless houndstooth. Just look at the splotches on the left side. They vaguely resemble a houndstooth print, but then they fade into a wobbly stripe-like pattern on the right. It’s definitely unique! Plus you really can’t go wrong with black and white, no matter how crazy the pattern might be. The look is topped off with black patent leather trim and brushed gold tone hardware. The perfect compliment to your favorite black wool pea coat!
